As of January 2018, SIQ – The Swedish Institute for Quality is the sole owner of market research firm EPSI Rating Group.
EPSI Rating Group measures and analyses customer experiences in the European private and public sectors. In Sweden it operates under the well known Svenskt Kvalitetsindex (SKI) brand. The acquisition of EPSI Rating Group is a part of SIQ’s new research and development activities in customer satisfaction, business benefits and sustainable development.

Research-based method provides unique basis for credibility
EPSI Rating Group grew out of a research project at the Stockholm School of Economics in the 1980s and has been measuring customer-perceived quality in many different industries since 1989. In addition to Sweden, the group now also has a presence in Finland, Denmark, Norway, the Baltic States and the UK.
“Understanding how different players in an industry are perceived by their customers is becoming increasingly important in our fast changing world. That is where our measurements and analyses can provide important data for strategic decisions. Our research-based method gives us a unique basis for our impartiality and credibility, and with SIQ as a strong owner that position has been further strengthened,” Jacob Hallencreutz, CEO of EPSI Rating Group, says.
